Foulon is situated some 30 kilometres north of Cahors, the
departmental capital of Lot. It is easily reached by car, being
only five km. from the Route Nationale 20, the main road from
Paris to Barcelona, and 10km from the Autoroute A20.
Cross channel ferry services from England to France are operated
by P&O Ferries,

Hoverspeed,
Speedferries,
Transmanche Ferries
and Norfolk Line.
You may also cross by Eurotunnel.
Foulon is approximately 850 km (530 miles) from Calais and 720km
(450miles) from Le Havre. As a guide, the Mappy
route advice service quotes around seven and a half hours
driving time for the journey from Le Havre, using autoroutes.
From Calais it's an hour or so longer.
If you're thinking of making an overnight stop, you might
consider the
Accor, Ibis, Mercure, Novotel, Sofitel, Etap or Formule 1
hotel chains.
Alternatively, in summer, there is a motorail
service from Calais to Brive-la-Gaillarde, about forty minutes drive away. The nearest railway
stations are Gourdon or Cahors, which have a direct service from
Paris, although the fastest train services go directly to Toulouse.
There is also a direct coach
service from London Victoria to Cahors.
The nearest airports to Foulon are Bergerac, Toulouse, Carcassonne, Rodez and
Limoges (Limoges or Toulouse are the shortest drive - about ninety minutes.
Rodez and Bergerac take slightly longer - just over two hours.)
